TFC LA recognized as a world cup community champion

We are honored to be chosen as one of the 26 Community Champions for the Los Angeles World Cup Legacy Program. In partnership with the Play Equity Fund, and under the theme 'Celebrate the Extraordinary,' The Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee has chosen Tudela FC LA as a showcase organization that is elevating and engaging Angelenos by supporting growth in the game of soccer, inspiring future sports professionals, beautifying neighborhoods and uplifting the community.

Club Founder and Director, Jacob Tudela, said this about our mission as TFC: "I believe that Tudela is fundamental to making change where soccer is accessible for anybody and everybody. - The 26 Champions Grant Award has made possible what we sat down as founders and said was the most principal stuff for us. It makes it to where we can get the best people communicating with kids in a home where they feel like they're not going to be moved."

Former Tudela FC LA player and current UCLA Women's Soccer and US Youth National Team player, Leena Powell said about TFC LA: "I love that Tudela brings the best out of us. I love that it pulls our confidence out, it makes us better people, better players, it has been such a big part of my life."

We are proud to be recognized as a program that is using the game of soccer to empower, uplift, and drive meaningful change throughout the Los Angeles region! Learn more about this program here: https://losangelesfwc26.com/legacy/
